I’m happy to say that I feel right at home here in Culebra. From the day I arrived, I quickly fell into the sleep late, go the beach, siesta, eat some dinner, drink some rum, go back to sleep regimen here. It hasn’t seemed to bother me that the only two pay phones on the island don’t work and while there is a wireless network here, I can’t seem to connect to it. Luckily, I met a retired Puerto Rican, Captain T, who has plenty of good vibes and an Internet connection on his boat so I could send a couple emails to let everyone know that I’m doing fine and well living the good life. Life here is simple. There’s not much to do during the day, and even less to do at night. It’s just what I was looking for to get adjusted to my new lifestyle. I love not having anywhere to go in the morning. And even more, I love that no one expects me to do anything. I am at peace. Oh yeah, and I can never seem to figure out what time it is. Ahhhhh, this is living January 20, 2006
